Submit films to our next festival:
Film submissions should feature good storytelling, compassion, forgiveness, characters who learn to embrace the fullness of their diversity or inspire audiences to change the world for the better. Your film may be interfaith or secular, but it should be respectful of our worship space and be appropriate for screening in a sanctuary. Because our scripture crosses many genres and features content that is gritty, sometimes violent or sexual, the use of profanity and graphic content is not a problem as long as it serves the story and has a good message.
Diverse submissions are encouraged. We are a site that welcomes all (and we actually mean that when we say it).
Submission guidelines:
Filmmakers who submit work agree to screen their film to our festival and to allow the use of their film name and screen shots in promotional materials.
Please submit your film online: (If your film is accepted, you will need to mail Grace two DVD's copies of the film to us within one week of receiving an acceptance email. )
Or, mail two DVD copies of the film to Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3201 Ulloa St, San Francisco, CA 94116 and make sure to write the name of the film, the name of the filmmaker, your email address and run time on the DVDs directly with a black marker.
Please note: Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church does not assume responsibility for damages or losses of films, art/photography and/or any material(s) used during the Grace Film Festival.
If you have questions regarding the submission process contact Pastor Megan Rohrer at pastor@gracesf.com.
